Amarillo Area Foundation Request for Grant Applications

Panhandle Pattern Wind Grant Cycle

On behalf of Pattern Panhandle Wind LLC, the Amarillo Area Foundation (AAF) announces a Request for Applications (RFA). The Advisory Committee for the Pattern Panhandle Wind Civic Fund and Pattern Panhandle Wind Education Fund, component funds of the Amarillo Area Foundation, will entertain proposals from nonprofit and charitable institutions serving Carson County residents with priority given to those located in Carson County (individuals and non-charitable organizations are not eligible). Grant amounts will range from $2,500 to $25,000. Organizations who fit the eligibility requirements and whose work is in line with the priorities are encouraged to apply.

The Pattern Panhandle Wind Civic Fund will be used to support and develop new and existing programs that improve quality of life for Carson County residents and communities. The grants from the Civic Fund are expected to support, but are not limited to, the following focus areas:

  • Civic Engagement
  • Disaster Recovery and Emergency Preparedness
  • Economic and Workforce Development
  • Health and Wellness Initiatives
  • Programs that serve Senior Citizens

The Pattern Panhandle Wind Education Fund will be used to support kindergarten through twelfth grade educational opportunities for Carson County public school students by granting funds directly to public schools or to organizations supporting public schools in Carson County.

Applications are available online at aaf.spectrumportal.net. Applications must be submitted online.

The Pattern Panhandle Wind Fund advisory committee, comprised of Carson County residents, will review applications and make funding recommendations. Recipients will be announced in early April.
