That spirit of generosity shines brightly every year during The Panhandle Gives, a nine-day charitable giving event hosted by the Amarillo Area Foundation.
This beloved community tradition isn’t just about raising money—it’s about raising hope. It’s about uniting the Texas Panhandle through compassion, collaboration, and generosity to make sure our nonprofits have the support they need to continue their life-changing work.
This year, The Panhandle Gives 2025 officially kicks off at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, November 24th and runs until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2nd. For nine incredible days, you have the opportunity to give back, make a difference, and show the world the true heart of the Panhandle.
If you’ve lived in this region long enough, chances are you’ve heard of The Panhandle Gives—or maybe you’ve even participated! The campaign starts the Monday before Thanksgiving and wraps up on Giving Tuesday, the Global Day of Generosity celebrated around the world.
Each year, this initiative brings together nonprofits, businesses, families, and individuals who all share a single goal: to give back to the community that gives so much to us.
What started as a local way to encourage charitable giving has grown into a regional movement of kindness. The campaign provides a concentrated, high-impact opportunity for nonprofits across the Texas Panhandle to raise essential funds, expand awareness of their missions, and continue doing amazing work that touches countless lives.
Whether it’s a small-town animal shelter, a food pantry feeding families, or a youth mentorship program shaping the next generation, The Panhandle Gives helps make sure every organization has the chance to thrive.
The Panhandle Gives is more than a campaign—it’s a reflection of who we are as a community. The Amarillo Area Foundation created this initiative to help strengthen local nonprofits and ensure they have the resources needed to keep doing their incredible work.
From helping children access education and resources, to supporting mental health programs, preserving the arts, empowering women, or providing meals to families in need—these nonprofits are the backbone of our region.

That’s 260 nonprofits throughout the Panhandle, working every single day to make our communities stronger. Each one has a story worth celebrating: resilience, service, creativity, and compassion. These organizations are out there doing the work—building homes, mentoring kids, protecting animals, serving veterans, and uplifting families.
And now, for nine days this November, we get to give back to them.
Giving during The Panhandle Gives is simple, flexible, and rewarding. Whether you prefer giving online or in person, every donation matters—and every dollar makes a difference.

All online donations eligible for the Amplification Fund must be made through the TPG website, thepanhandlegives.org. The site makes it easy to browse participating organizations, learn about their missions, and give directly to the causes that speak to your heart.
A few clicks can change someone’s life. When you donate through the website, your gift becomes eligible to be amplified, meaning it can go even further to support the work being done in our communities.
 
Give In Person
If you love the feeling of handing in a check or delivering your donation personally, we’ve got you covered. Checks, money orders, and cash donations can be made at any of our three incredible sponsoring banks:

All offline donations will be receipted by the Amarillo Area Foundation, and donations of $500 or more are welcomed and encour
aged at these bank locations.
