A Note Regarding an Organizational Update

Amarillo Area Foundation Announces Leadership Transition

The Amarillo Area Foundation announces a leadership transition as President and CEO Clay Stribling takes on the role of Executive Advisor. Keralee Clay, who joined the Foundation eight years ago and has served as Senior Vice President, assumes the role of Interim President and CEO.

Since 2011, Stribling led the Foundation through transformative achievements, including doubling its endowment, which brought greater support for impactful projects across the Panhandle. He also spearheaded The Panhandle Gives campaign, which has raised more than $30 million to support organizations in all 26 counties of the Foundation’s service area.

“It has been an honor to serve this tremendous organization for the past 13 years”, Stribling says. “The generosity of Texas Panhandle residents is unmatched, and I am grateful to have witnessed that first-hand. Under Keralee’s leadership, I am confident that the talented and committed AAF staff and Boards will carry on our work with integrity and dedication.”

Amarillo Area Foundation Board Chair David Prescott expressed the board’s gratitude for Stribling’s leadership, which has shaped the Foundation’s success over the past 13 years. The board has also offered its full support to Keralee Clay in her new role as Interim President and CEO.

“The Foundation’s board members are confident the organization is on firm footing for the future,” Prescott said. “Keralee Clay will continue to advance the Foundation’s mission and vision. Her passion and innovative approach will continue to drive positive change for the more than 400,000 people we serve in the Texas Panhandle.”

In her role as Senior Vice President, Keralee Clay has led strategic initiatives, such as Panhandle Connected, which works to bridge the digital divide in the Panhandle, improving education, healthcare and economic opportunities across the region. Her leadership has strengthened the Foundation’s operations and expanded its community outreach.

“I am honored to build on the work Clay has championed over the years,” said Keralee Clay. “With the support of our talented team and our incredible base of supporters, the Amarillo Area Foundation will continue to create lasting impact in the lives of people across the Texas Panhandle.”
