DESCRIPTION:April 23, 2020, 9 AM to 3:30 PM\nAmarillo Area Foundation\n801 S.Fillmore\nThis workshop will give a basic introduction and overview of grants. Topics of discussion will include:\n” What is a grant?\n” How do you find a grant opportunity?\n” How do you apply for a grant?\n” What are the best practices when seeking funding?\n” What do you do after the funding decision?\nThere will be a one-hour lunch break. Participants can choose a lunch selection when registering, bring their own lunch, or leave during that time.\nJessica Tudyk, MS Ed, MCHES is the Program Officer at the Mary E. Bivins Foundation in Amarillo, Texas.\nJessica has earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Education from Baylor University. A Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), Jessica has spent her entire career with nonprofits in the Texas Panhandle.\nMatt Morgan is a Grants Program Officer at the Amarillo Area Foundation.\nMatt oversees the Foundation’s Discretionary, Catalyst, and HRMC grant programs. Matt has earned a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. He is passionate about the Texas Panhandle and sees Amarillo Area Foundation grants as an opportunity to create a lasting impact on the lives in our community.\nRoxann Ball is the Program Officer for the Nonprofit Service Center at the Amarillo Area Foundation.\nRoxann has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University.\nRoxann has experience in nonprofit management, accounting, and fundraising and has worked at numerous nonprofits across the country in both paid and volunteer positions.
